Pathetic in Puebla

Day 46 – 49

The headline for this part of the trip refers solely to Pete who picked up a very heavy cold (some rumours suggest it was perhaps even the flu), and a throat and ear infection severe enough to require a visit to a nearby hospital.  A cocktail of drugs and lots of rest were prescribed so we decided to extend our time in Puebla whilst Pete recovered.  Two days were lost taking refuge in our hostel room but eventually we found time to explore what turned out to be a very beautiful City.  We relocated and upgraded to a more comfortable hotel on the main square and whilst here enjoyed a thoroughly delicious dinner to celebrate Pete’s 34th birthday.
